With its theme of “Eat, Drink, Learn, Make,” the festival caps off the weekend event on Sunday, May 24, featuring an all-day, self-guided tour of food and wine facilities beginning at the Port Townsend Food Co-op and moving on to Mt. Julie Townsend, director of the Lakeland Downtown. Catered by Dan Ratigan of the Inn at Port Ludlow, the dinner features a three-course tasting menu. Saturday evening, the food festival moves to Finnriver Farm and Cidery in Chimacum for an all-local dinner reception in the farm’s pavilion. The Sequim Farmers & Artisans Market (SFAM) is known for its eclectic display of over 65 local vendors, a live music series, and a full calendar of events. Inside the center, Cedar Root Folk School offers artisan food-making classes taught by Sasquatch Books’ food writers and some of Jefferson County’s award-winning producers.įrom 6 to 9 p.m. The Artistic Bean in Townsend is brewing up something special for their grand reopening, which will be held on Tuesday, March 3. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 23 in Uptown, and expands in front of the Port Townsend Community Center. Tastings, classes, demos, readings, a three-course farm dinner and an all-day food tour are planned for the weekend. The second annual Port Townsend Artisan Food Festival, set for Memorial Day weekend, May 23-24, is hosted by the Port Townsend Farmers Market with Cedar Root Folk School and the Seattle-based Sasquatch Books as partners.
